HITACHI OASIS AND RADAR TECHNOLOGY SIMPLIFIES PEDIATRIC IMAGING

CLEVELAND, Ohio (March 30, 2010) —Bore-Less Oasis and RADAR technology enable Community Health Network to enhance their pediatric MRI capability.

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, Indiana installed Hitachi’s Oasis Bore-Less High-field MRI in October 2009. They have been very pleased with the performance of the system. The image quality is equal to 1.5T and Oasis gives them the added benefit of greater patient accept-ance without sedation.

Two Researchers Awarded 2010 Hitachi Medical Systems/RSNA Grants

CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 2, 2010) - The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Research & Education (R&E) Foundation awarded 2010 Hitachi Medical Systems/RSNA grants to Omolola Atalabi, M.B.B.S., and Sidhartha Tavri, M.B.B.S. The grants are made possible by Hitachi’s support of the RSNA R&E Foundation.

High-Field Open MRI Technology comes to Bay Area, California

CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 2, 2010) – Valley Radiology Imaging (VRI), a subsidiary of RadNet Management, Inc., has recently installed high-field open MRI technology, the Hitachi Oasis, in the South Bay Area of Northern California.  The Oasis system will offer the medical community a new open MRI alternative with high-field strength performance for patients who have had challenges tolerating exams in the traditional closed-type MRI units.
